Reporting the Recession – Seminar for Journalists

Reporting the Recession is a free information seminar for journalists reporting the effects of the recession on business in Ireland. The terminology and processes involved in examinership, liquidation, receivership and bankruptcy will be explained in straight-forward language along with reporting restrictions and privilege protections that apply to reporting corporate and personal insolvency stories.

This seminar is jointly sponsored by the Irish Branch of the NUJ and Eugene F Collins, Solicitors. The seminar will be presented by Barry O’Neill and Andrea Martin.

Barry O’Neill is one of Ireland’s most experienced insolvency practitioners and a partner with Eugene F Collins’ Corporate Recovery group.

Andrea Martin is a consultant with Eugene F Collins Media and Entertainment group. She regularly advises current affairs journalists and producers. She is the author of Quick Win Media Law Ireland, a guidebook for those working in the media industry, published by Oak Tree Press.

A limited amount of parking is available in the Eugene F Collins’ client car park – there is also ample on-street, meter parking available in the immediate vicinity of the venue.
